By removing the cross over tubing that used dump blow out and debris back into the filter and thus into your carb/efi our newest version eliminates all that but allows for the temp sensor to be plugged into the filter – optional use of the billet housing but this would require cutting of wiring etc. Easy install and Buell’s love it. 

The Buell XR II Optimum will work on efi models and for carb models the temp sensor provision is not needed but set up is the same, Harley Sportsters also will have the same set up
